Elementary School
The Elementary Section implements the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The Primary Years Programme is designed for students within the age range of 3-11 years (Pre K- Grade 5). It helps develop the child as an inquirer who can better evaluate situations and initiatives independently. The elementary school comprises a comprehensive curriculum that tackles rigorous and challenging subjects. It provides students with all the necessary elements to become successful at school and well-prepared for the future, beyond the boundaries of AIA. Students are encouraged to explore and solve problems using critical thinking and questioning, which keeps their minds alert and enables them to conduct constructive analysis. In grades one to five, there are two tracks: one with English as the language of instruction, Arabic taught at different levels, and French or Spanish as a third language; in the second track, the language of instruction is Arabic, with English as an advanced second language, and French or Spanish as a third language.
