International Mindedness
The purpose of the IB program is to help students explore their own identities and cultures within a framework of other identities and cultures. To achieve that, teachers at AIA incorporate this concept into every unit of study they teach. AIA has made every effort to hire an international staff, so that students are exposed to various perspectives on the world and, thereby, learn to solve problems. Students explore these identities and cultures through art, music, literature, history, and, of course, language. The very fact that we are an international school requires us to keep an open mind about the world around us and to reinforce our personal values while we learn to appreciate and respect the views, values, and opinions of others.
