Overview
The primary stage, from grades 1 to 5, implements the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). There are two tracks for grades 1-5: one where core subjects are taught in an integrated manner in Arabic, and students learn English at an advanced level, with French or Spanish taught as a third language; and another where core subjects are taught in an integrated manner in English, and students learn Arabic and either French or Spanish at varying levels. At this stage, the focus is on project-based learning, research, and inquiry to develop children's knowledge, skills, and attitudes. All students are provided with opportunities to develop their abilities according to their individual learning styles. This is achieved with the support of a comprehensive support program that provides guidance and academic and linguistic assistance. The academy also provides a teacher and a teaching assistant in the classrooms at this stage. The academy also emphasizes music, arts, and various sports.
