Learning Support Services
At the KG, we have implemented several safeguards to ensure that all students have the best opportunity to succeed. First, we place an emphasis on differentiated approaches to teaching, ensuring that we provide multiple methods to meet your child’s needs. Furthermore, we have a teacher for Arabic and one for English, as well as a teaching assistant who teaches each KG section, working collaboratively to facilitate differentiation. We have also included a highly qualified staff of counselors, a behavior modification specialist who supports your child’s emotional needs and conducts observations that could lead to a referral to our Learning Support Program. This program is excellently staffed by specialized educators, speech-language therapists, and a behavior therapist, who are dedicated to helping your child succeed and assisting teachers in making appropriate accommodations where warranted. The learning support team works closely with students, parents, teachers, and all stakeholders to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student they serve. Their services are mostly provided in the classroom to help include those students, and in some cases, pull-out sessions are used. All this collaboration and support have been aimed at giving students increased self-esteem and the best opportunity to be successful in their school and academic careers.
