Parents Involvement

The Primary Years Program emphasizes the role of parents as part of the learning community and recognizes their voice for the impact it has on the learning of their kids. From here, we always seek the opportunity to involve parents in all activities taking place at school and plan our calendar with the parents in mind. Our first meeting with parents took place on September 15 when parents were called for an open house event to meet their children’s teachers and learn about our expectations and routines on different school aspects: curriculum, resources, blended learning procedures, learning and teaching methods, and the tools teachers use to keep up with the communication with parents. In addition, the primary school leadership has organized a weekly question and answer session with the parents to keep them informed about all updates, listen to their feedback on the learning process, and respond to their reflections and ideas. In October, the school is organizing the first reporting event for this academic year, the parent-teacher conference, to discuss the students’ progress and engagement.
